AUSTIN, Texas — Texas voters getting ready to head to the polls on Election Day, Nov. 5, need to remember to bring a form of identification with them – but you don't have to bring your voter ID card.

Here is a list of acceptable forms of photo identification that you can bring with you to the polls:

If you don't have one of those forms of ID and can't reasonably obtain one by the time you go vote, you can bring one of the following in order to execute a "Reasonable Impediment Declaration":

Remember: If you are not already registered to vote in this election, you will not be allowed to cast your ballot on Tuesday because Texas does not have same-day registration.

If you are registered, you'll need to check if your county participates in the Countywide Polling Place Program to find out if you can vote at any polling place on Election Day. Once you know that, you can check out our list of Election Day polling places in Central Texas.

All polling places across Texas will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. As long as you are in line by 7 p.m., you will be able to vote.
