When you open a new Prime Visa card, you can now earn an instant $200 Amazon gift card. The card’s previous welcome bonus was a $150 gift card.

To earn the bonus, you must be an Amazon Prime member. It will be automatically added to your Amazon.com account, and you can use it to make purchases on the Amazon website.

Unlike many other credit card sign-up bonuses, you’ll get instant access to your $200 gift card when you’re approved for the Prime Visa. You’ll even get an instant decision when you apply for the card — according to Chase, the majority of people who apply get a response in less than 15 seconds.

Even after spending the $200 gift card you’ll get as a welcome bonus, the Prime Visa has plenty to offer in long-term savings.

You’ll earn unlimited 5% cash back on Amazon.com, Amazon Fresh, at Whole Foods Market, and on Chase Travel℠ purchases. That means 5% savings on everyday essentials through Amazon or grocery hauls at Whole Foods, but could help with upcoming holiday savings, too.

Say, for example, you’re able to cross off most of your gift purchases online shopping with Amazon. Then, you buy your necessities for family dinner at Whole Foods, and even book holiday travel through Chase Travel. You’ll save a baseline 5% on each of these holiday purchases.

Those 5% savings are just the start — you’ll also earn an unlimited 2% cash back at gas stations, restaurants, and on local transit and commuting (plus 1% back on everything else).
