The one interesting note about the AirTag plate is it needs to be screwed in, however you get all the tools you need in the box when purchased (including a mini screwdriver). The wallet itself is made from ultra strong materials like carbon fiber and aluminum, so you won't have to worry about it ever getting dinged up. You can tell the company didn't go overboard on the design either, adding smart design features like a low profile money clip and a C-shaped card access opening to keep thing simple and minimal.

If you want to keep things tactical, without going over $50, this military-grade AirTag wallet is the one to choose.

The combination of steel and carbon fiber makes this the lightest and arguably strongest, most durable wallet on this list. A replaceable elastic and RFID-blocking construction adds even more utility. We love that Ridge offers a generous 45-day return window and a lifetime warranty to boot. The bad news? At north of $150, it's the priciest AirTag wallet on this list, but hey, you get what you pay for.

Most AirTag wallets focus more on function over looks. Walldo's Slim Premium Wallet with AirTag Holder strikes a good balance of both. The all-leather construction is not only durable but looks great too. Like many other AirTag wallets, the design is bolstered with solid RFID-blocking tech. At less than half an inch thin, it's great for comfortably stashing in a front pocket. Although, that ultra-slim profile also means it's limited to just six cards and three bills. It's the most premium AirTag wallet on this list, but that means it comes with a premium price tag to boot and it's the most expensive option on this list.

What do buyers say? "The AirTag was easy to put into the wallet and looks great with the Apple logo cut out" says one amazon.com reviewer. "I am able to hold 6 cards in the wallet, and it's still so slim."

What's great is you can also use this insert to store in your backpack or suitcase pockets and be able to identify your AirTag easier as opposed to floating around by itself.

Still, the roughly $60 price tag is surprisingly affordable for a genuine Apple accessory.

Card holders with a slide action function are gaining more and more popularity as brands perfect their tech. The fun design allows a user easily access to cards without having to dig or pry them out of any pockets, all while keeping your wallet slim and minimal (see our personal favorite, the Groove Wallet, if you want a minmialist slide action wallet without AirTag function). This leather trifold wallet from Typecase stores up to 10 cards and 50 bills, and features a secure snap-on attachment for an AirTag. On the side is a spring loaded trigger that activates the card action to pop out all of the cards stored inside.

The only qualm we had about this wallet is the spring loader could be stronger, as we believe it's prone to breaking off. But all-in-all when you consider this wallet is under $40 we find it a worthy investment for anyone who's interested in trying an AirTag wallet with a slide action.

If you like to carry a long wallet—like in your suit or coat pocket—then this fine leather AirTag wallet from Ekster will appeal to you. It features a money clip and will store up to an impressive 12 cards. The wallet also comes in a black leather option, should you prefer to go that route.

For the gentleman who likes to carry a bit more or prefers a traditional bifold wallet design, there's Typecase's Stealth Mode Bifold AirTag Wallet. With a 10-card capacity and room for cash, it's one of the roomiest AirTag wallets we found. But, that roominess also translates to a bulkier footprint that's not as streamlined or front pocket-friendly as others on this list. Still, we love the waterproof, top grain leather construction, many available colors, and RFID-blocking capability. And, at roughly $30, it's one of the best-priced AirTag wallets we found, making it a great all-around value.

Hawanik's Slim Minimalist Front Pocket Wallet ticks all the essential boxes for a great AirTag wallet. At roughly 0.12 inches thin, the ultra-slim design is front pocket-friendly and expands to hold up to five credit cards, an ID card (with a see-through pocket), six folded banknotes, and, of course, an Apple AirTag. It's available in a dozen colors from traditional (like Brown and Black) to modern (Red and Pink Champagne). Our only minor quibble is that the faux leather construction makes this wallet feel like a distinctly budget product.

But, at around $13, it's hard to complain. Plus, a genuine leather option is available for those looking for a more premium alternative.

Bifold AirTag wallets are tricky, as the placement of the AirTag itself usually adds some weird bulk. But this one from Bryker Hyde keeps the placement simple (smack dab in the middle) to eliminate protrusions on spots of the wallet one might not be used to (like on the corners). These wallets are made with a luxe top grain leather and come in a wide array of colors. As far as capacity goes, it can hold up to 11 cards total: 6 card pocket, 1 pull tab pocket that holds 2-4 cards, and 1 ID window.

The one downside about the wallet is it wears down a bit faster than some of the more expensive $100+ leather wallets, especially when it comes to the corners. However if you're looking for a solid mid-tier quality bifold for an affordable price, then the chances are you'll be happy with this pick.

If you want to try a wallet with a slide action function but still like the function of a bifold, then this Anovus is a good wallet to pick. It holds up to 10 cards total: 4-5 cards fit in the slider and the rest inside the bifold portion. The wallet is made with premium leather that's available in four different styles. Aside from the Typecase wallet we recommended earlier being a trifold and the Anovus a bifold, we found the Anovus leather has a bit better quality.

One downside to this wallet includes the slider not being as strong as we'd like (prone to breaking or jamming). The other downside is the AirTag does have a tendency to start popping out over time, as the leather holder starts getting more flexible and loose. Nonetheless it's a sleek wallet with a creative use of space.

If you're looking for a wallet that fits an AirTag, but doesn't necessarily hold one out for everyone to see, then a slim zip wallet is a solid choice. This one from Shinola is made from fine natural leather and holds up like a champ over time. We like the idea of popping an AirTag into a wallet like this when traveling, that way you can keep tabs on your personal items while still fitting a good amount of cash and cards inside.

ShenDoah's AirTag Wallet is hands-down the most gift-worthy wallet on this list. The design features a genuine leather construction that looks and feels rugged and unique. Optional and reasonably priced engraving allows for adding a personalized touch. It's roomy enough to hold up to nine cards (with a convenient pull strap for easier access) and a bit of cash (via the interior metal money clip) comfortably, although it's a little too bulky for front-pocket carry. The only real downside is the lack of RFID-blocking tech, although that may not be an issue for some. Otherwise, this is a near-perfect gift for men in your life.

For the gentleman who wants a simple, no-frills AirTag-friendly wallet, we like Asotony's Slim AirTag Wallet. The ultra-slim design is front pocket-friendly but expands to hold up to six cards (one ID card and five credit cards), six folded banknotes, and the Apple AirTag itself. We especially like the dedicated, see-through ID sleeve, making it easy to flash your license without removing it from the wallet. All three available colors are simple and classy, although the faux leather construction feels like a step down from the genuine leather options we found. Still, we think it's a great buy at less than $15.

If you're looking for an AirTag wallet to match the type of wallet you currently own, then we have specific recommendations for each. But before we breakdown wallet types, it's worth reiterating our favorite AirTag wallet of them is still the Speigen AirTag Wallet S due to its excellent combination of affordability, functionality, and minimalist design.

If you want a bifold AirTag wallet...

The Typecase Stealth Mode Bifold is going to be your most traditional bifold design that accommodates an AirTag. It's made of quality cowhide leather and holds 12 cards and a solid amount of cash. When you open the wallet, the left side has a slim pocket where you can slide the AirTag into the corner. The pocket is tight, so the AirTag doesn't shift around, and there aren't any cards that can be stacked underneath so the bulge is kept to a minimum.

If you're looking for the thinnest AirTag bifold wallet, the Bryker Hyde Slim ID Wallet is going to your best choice. It holds up to 11 cards and carries a few bills, giving it plenty of storage while also staying lean. What's nice about this wallet is the AirTag sits in the middle and only sticks out a tiny bit. The downside is even though it says it can fit 11 cards, the pockets are tight. The overall dimension is smaller than the Typecase bifold too, however you can't go wrong with either of these bifold options named.

If you want a card holder AirTag wallet...

If you want a card holder that's more elevated, then the Walldo Leather Card Holder is our best recommendation. It's a little expensive, but you're getting high grade leather and an ultra-slim design that keeps the AirTag hidden down quite good. It fits 6 cards total, so you're going to want to go lean on the cards. There's zero cash pocket, which seems to be the tradeoff for why the AirTag hardly sticks out in the center.

If you want a card holder that's built for capacity, then the WXM Wallet is a better choice. It holds up to 15 cards, has a cash pocket, and is made with a frame that's easy to slide the cards in and out of. It's a bit bigger in size than you might be used to, so be prepared for it to take up more space in your jacket or pant pockets.

If you want a slide action AirTag wallet...

There are two types of slide action wallets on this list above. The best slide action AirTag wallet that contains more space is the Typecase Men's Wallet Card Holder. The trifold wallet neatly fits 6-7 cards in the aluminum slide action holder, plus 3 cards on the outside of the wallet and a ton of cash.

The Anovus AirTag Wallet holds a little bit less than the Typecase when it comes to the capacity, but we found the leather to be a bit better quality. The slide action works just as good on the Anovus as the Typecase, but both are prone to getting damaged due to the lever on the side not being as strong as we'd like.

Tactical and rugged inspired wallets are on the rage these days, and most are made with a card holder build and designed with strong materials. For most of us, a strong wallet might not be a huge priority, but for those of us who might have a careers where they have to traverse job sites or natural landscape, a wallet that can take a beating can go a long way.

The Ridge Wallet that comes in the The Smart Kit is going to be your strongest, most durable wallet out of these picks. The wallet itself is made from 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum, which has led The Ridge Wallet to be deemed nearly indestructible by reviewers. The Ridge Wallet's AirTag attachment is also the toughest AirTag case we've seen, as the AirTag itself is enclosed between a steel base and a carbon case.

The only other wallet on this list that competes with The Ridge Wallets is the WXM Wallet. It's carbon-fiber and aluminum build hit its marks in terms of materials, but there has yet to be the same wide amount of strength testing that's already out there on The Ridge Wallet. The exposed AirTag is also a cause of concern, as a rock or piece of metal could damage the AirTag much easier than The Ridge Wallet.

There are a few leather AirTag wallets that exist right now with impressive leather quality. The Apple Leather Wallet with MagSafe and the Shinola Zip Around Wallet are two premium leather wallets you could buy to replace an AirTag, or store an AirTag inside.

Looking at a proper AirTag wallet, the leather quality on the Walldo Leather Card Holder is some of the best we've found in the sea of options. It's made with a textured cow leather that's soft and durable, not too rigid or flimsy, and makes for a great leather wallet for a night on the town.

The Ekster Wallet for AirTag also has great leather quality, especially when you consider it's cut into a long wallet design. The premium American hide the wallet is made out of makes the Ekster our top formal wallet pick, as the material and the shape allow it to store quite nicely in the dinner jacket or long coat.

Almost every model we researched features either a slim, front-pocket-friendly design or a traditional bifold form factor, plus a small, dedicated pocket for an Apple AirTag.
